My first Mother's Day was not at all horrible. Itsuki, Shiro and Rachel attempted to make me a cake, which ... didn't turn out as expected. I think using Rachel to hold the cookbook was a bad idea - and the sardines too. Now, I just need to clean up the kitchen and get that ... substance off of the ceiling and it would be a success.

Mom sent me flowers and a "new mother" kit, which was nice of her. My sister sent me a lot of other stuff that people would have given me if I had a baby shower.

All and all, I think I can get used to this holiday.

I did try and talk him out of the sardines. I think he snuck them in while my back was turned.
